Chemical Safety awarded ISO 9001 Certification
Santa Clara, CA, January 16, 2008 – Chemical Safety Software announced that it has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification.
“This is a significant accomplishment for our company, and a first in our industry,” said Tony Diamantidis, CEO of Chemical Safety. “We are the only software provider in the Environmental, Health & Safety sector that has achieved this certification. Our 20 years of experience and the quality of our company, staff, products, practices and support is a standard for the industry to follow.”
U.S. and global chemical management and regulatory requirements have intensified the need for technology that addresses local, regional, national and international rules for the safe management of facilities that make or use chemicals and other hazardous materials. The enactment of the UN-sanctioned Globally Harmonized System for the Labeling and Classification of Chemicals (GHS) as well as new regulations in the United States, China and Europe, including the enactment of the new EU REACH regulation, make technology for managing those rules an imperative need.
