Chemical Safety will continue to focus on EMS's
functionality enhancement as well as the technological
development of the system and its delivery. We will join
with other leading high-quality organizations to create
value chains that meet our customers¡¯ needs and offer
complete solutions.
Technology Developments on the Horizon
Chemical Safety is further developing our web-based
application to offer more functionality online. With over 20
man-years invested in developing web-based compliance
technology, we are uniquely suited to offer clients
comprehensive solutions online, and to confirm our market
leadership in this exciting arena.
Developments in our underlying technology will make
integration with customer and vendor systems simpler, more
efficient and less costly. As we link to more and more
systems, including SAP and Oracle Financial, and as we
create more partnerships with System Integrators, our
clients will be able to take advantage of the ability to
interface EMS with all kinds of other software and online
systems.
As always, ongoing technical development for one partner or
customer can be leveraged for others
Functionality Expansion
As regulators adopt new technology, Chemical Safety will
make such functions as Electronic Report Filing a standard
part of EMS. Two-way communication between regulators and
EMS users will be implemented as regulatory agencies become
able to do so.
We are working with Palm Pilot technology to integrate
bar-code reading capabilities with scanning Palm Pilots.
More and more state and local reporting requirements and
formats are always being incorporated to EMS. More chemical
data, MSDS's, are continuously being brought into our
standard databases.
The Benefits of Partnering
Partnerships are an integral part of the Company's future
growth and development plans. We are working to create value
chains that will offer such functions as molecular
structure/sub-structure drawing and searching against
databases; automatic data transfer to and from online safety
training providers; and automatic update of inventory data
from vendor catalogs and purchase records.
