A number of new domestic (both State and Federal) and international regulations are in effect in 2010.  The new Emergency Response Guide Book, released in 2008, is now available with Chemical Safety’s Environmental Management Systems (EMS) software, as are new Building Code rules and regulations, international labeling requirements under the Global Harmonized System for labeling and classification of chemicals (GHS).  The European Union’s REACH regulations are entering their second year, with new requirements going into effect.

Several new state rules are also in effect:  In California, for example, new electronic reporting regulations for chemical inventories are being phased in, with several CUPA (reporting) agencies requiring them immediately.
