Chemical Safety Software’s
Extended
Partnership with ENSCO Leads Industry Direction

|
Emeryville, CA, April 30, 1999:
Chemical Safety Software and Environmental Systems
Company (ENSCO) have signed a new multi-year agreement
extending and expanding their alliance to provide waste
management software in conjunction with disposal services.
The original agreement signed in 1996 was the first of its
kind in the industry, joining information management and
waste operations in one comprehensive package and setting an
industry standard for service excellence. The new agreement
extends use of ERIS/EMS to ENSCO’s U.S. customers. The
agreement provides for program enhancements including Web
data retrieval and reporting capabilities, as well as
network and client-server based solutions.
Chemical Safety has provided ENSCO with waste management
software for over five years. More than 100 of ENSCO’s
customers are using the program developed specifically for
managing information for hazardous waste. "One of the most
successful and popular service initiatives ENSCO has
undertaken is the provision of information management
software. Environmental managers are learning that
accountability makes control of information as important to
their companies as control of hazardous waste," says Curtis
Baker, ENSCO Systems Manager.
The partnership reduces waste generators’ liability risk by
providing electronic transfer of information throughout the
disposal process. Manifest, label and other information is
transferred to the ERIS/EMS system from ENSCO, in effect,
eliminating data entry work for the customer and reducing
regulatory reporting to a few simple steps.
The continuing collaboration will create features that
further streamline the waste management process. New
capabilities will link business systems, such as purchasing
or MRP/ERP, to their ERIS/EMS waste management program and
to Chemical Safety’s comprehensive Environmental Management
Systems (EMS) software. This feature allows data to flow
directly from industry leading database platforms.
Chemical Safety Software has been an industry leader in
environmental information management systems for over 10
years. It is located in Northern California, with regional
offices in Chicago and an international subsidiary in
Athens, Greece. Chemical Safety offers state-of-the-art
management and compliance solutions to manufacturers,
research labs, universities, utility companies, public
safety and emergency response agencies.
Founded in 1977,
Environmental Systems Company (ENSCO) is one of the
largest and most experienced waste transport and disposal
companies in the US. ENSCO is the only company in the
hazardous waste industry to hold ISO 9002 Certification.
