BOL & MSDS
Distribution

Shipping chemicals
and regulated materials to your customers requires more than
just a packing list and a stamp. Chemical Safety Software's
automation software creates, distributes, and manages
MSDS's, Bills of Lading, Emergency Response Guide pages,
chemical hazard labels and invoices with the most current
information from regulators and your in-house systems. If
you are a chemical supplier or ship chemicals or regulated
materials, you are required to supply information in the
form of documents and labels to customers, shipping
companies, emergency responders and regulators. EMS' MSDS
Distribution and Bill of Lading systems can help you save
time and money, while staying in compliance and meeting your
customers' requirements.
MSDS
Distribution
Chemical Safety Software offers an MSDS Distribution program
for maintaining your in-house product MSDS's, sending them
out to your customers whenever they need them, and
maintaining a record of what you sent and when it was sent.
Every time you ship a chemical, the current MSDS can be sent
to your contact(s) at the customer. MSDS's can be sent in a
hard copy, via email, or both, depending on your customer's
preference. Additionally, whenever an MSDS is altered or
updated, the MSDS Distribution system will automatically
send out the latest version to any customers who may still
have the product on hand.
With this electronic system you will always have a record to
document that you have complied with your safety and legal
requirements.
Bill of Lading Generation
The Bill of Lading system in EMS (EMS-BOL) is unique because
it creates the Bill of Lading and other documents
specifically required for the shipment of chemicals and
regulated materials.
Based on the chemical and MSDS information of your products,
the Bill of Lading document is created with accurate data on
chemical characterization of the product, it's hazard class,
MSDS number and proper shipping and handling labels (both
domestic US and international) as well as packaging type,
and Net and Gross weight of the specific shipment. The
products or items included on a Bill of Lading are linked
electronically to their MSDS, ERG pages, Labels and
Placards, allowing a user to view or print these documents
as required.
The system notes chemical incompatibilities that may
restrict shipment together and also allows for the inclusion
of non-regulated items on the Bill of Lading.
EMS-BOL implementations may include an interface with a
purchasing or billing system in order to generate the Bill
of Lading and other documentation automatically with every
order. If your organization is using the EMS-MSDS
Distribution system also, the generation of a Bill of Lading
can initiate the process to send out proper required MSDS's.
